Today, as one of the advanced productivities, information technology hasbecome an effective means of industrial progress and an important guarantee for thedevelopment of enterprises. Though faced with many difficulties, the trend ofinformatization in grain sector is irreversible. The development of BIM, buildinginformation modeling, indicates that the construction industry benefits from moresignificantly efficient production and changed production concept. BIM, a keytechnical support, has unique advantages for upgrade and achieve sustainabledevelopment in the construction industry.Compared with BIM’s applications in the construction industry, and based onBIM’s basic theory and technical characteristics, the writer discussed the applicationand development of BIM in grain logistics parks, and researched BIM technology wasapplied to the construction of grain infrastructure in design, construction andoperation. In the design phase, architecture, structure and access to food technology,pipelines were modeled and simulated, and solved some problems of the graininfrastructure such as three-dimensional design, visualization, collaborative design,and complex pipeline collision; during the construction phase, established the4Dmodel and5D cost control model based on BIM, effectively improved the efficiencyand progress of grain infrastructure construction, and reduced construction costs;during the operational phase, through a building in grain logistics park for firesimulation, study BIM ‘s application in disaster prevention and mitigation, and built afire escape and evacuation model. According to the characteristics of Grain LogisticsPark, the article takes Tianjin Lida Grain Logistics Park as an example, proposed acreative application of BIM in the grain logistics park.Finally, the paper analysis and thinks BIM’s development in grain sector,describes the difficulties and obstacles encountered in the application, suppliesconcrete exploration and feasibility studies, and provides a reference for BIMtechnology in grain logistics park.
