Pipe belt conveyor has numerous advantages, it has small space turning radius, transport line layout flexible, it has small frame width, it has large transport inclined angle. Because of so many advantages pipe belt conveyor play an important role in the industrial production and bulk conveying field. Because the application of pipe belt conveyor is late, there is less study on the pipe belt conveyor in the present. So research on the experiment device of the pipe belt conveyor is particularly important. The northeastern university and the north heavy industry shenyang mining machinery factory worked together made a pipe belt conveyor multi-function experiment device. The paper will research on the. control system of the pipe belt conveyor multi-function experiment device.According to the design requirement of the control system of the pipe belt conveyor multi-function experiment device, the control system hardware selection is given in this paper, including the hardware selection of the drive device, the selection of the protection devices of the pipe belt conveyor, the selection of the tension detection device, the selection of the PLC and related hardware equipment. Analyzed the fuzzy-PID parameters self-tuning controller and its application on the drive device of the pipe belt conveyor multi-function experiment device. The simulation of the fuzzy-PID control system by using the MATLAB fuzzy logic tool and SIMULINK is given in this paper. The performance comparison of the rule PID and the fuzzy-PID is given to demonstrate the reasonableness of the fuzzy-PID system.In the part of software design of the control system, the flow charts of soft start of the pipe belt conveyor multi-function experiment device is given in this paper, the flow charts of the comprehensive protection of the conveyor and the flow charts of fuzzy-PID parameters self-tuning controller are also given in the paper. Using the configuration software KingView8.5as the platform to design the PC monitoring system. Design the monitor interface of the pipe belt conveyor multi-function experiment device.By analyzing all item of idler resistance while pipe belt conveyor running, a testing system of the traveling resistance of pipe belt conveyor is given in the paper. The testing system is based on USB-4716data acquisition card. Acquisition the force acting on the six idles in the vertical direction and in the horizontal direction to realize the multiple date acquisition. Develop the test software system, in which the software-developing platform was based on Lab VIEW8.5of NI Company. The test software system can test the force acting on the six idles in the vertical direction and in the horizontal direction nearly in the same time. It is a multi-signals data acquisition system. The test software system has the function of data acquisition, waveform display, data storage, data analysis and so on.
