The Research Of Bus Stop System Design Based On Tianjin Urban Culture

With the acceleration of urbanization of the world, our city is expanding increasingly. For urban residents or people who come to the city or to seek for a living, or to go for the tourism and leisure, public transportation is a necessary way to travel. As a result of the information development and the vigorous deepening of globalization, internationalism, and the design idea of minimalism, in the process of achieving modernization with big strides, our city is becoming more and more internationalized and modernized. However, city’s regional culture and urban characteristics were eroded and alienated gradually. As a part of the urban environment, the bus station is an important material carrier to show the image of the city and the urban culture. With the development of era, the design of the bus stop not only satisfies people’s functional requirements of riding, it will also become a cultural carrier to express the urban cultural landscape and the city’s humanistic care, to extend the city spirit and personality, and to form a clear recognition and distinctive city features.Based on the above ideas, this paper firstly conducted an detailed test research of urban culture——the theoretical point, and then through research of a large amount of information and literature, analyzed the characteristic of Tianjin urban culture. The investigation to the history of Tianjin city and the research of literature theory extracted the culture characteristics of three cities in Tianjin:one is the pursuit of comfort of life, the second is "foreign" symbiotic, the thirds is the derivatives of composite culture.In this paper, the third part makes a detailed study of general bus design, including the type of bus station, bus stop design composition, design specification and the factors to consider in the design of platform. The design of the bus stop is a systematic engineering. According to the actual situation in Tianjin, this article of bus stop is a linear bus station by default. Its design involves the urban road traffic, man-machine engineering, information design, etc.In this paper, the fourth part is about the reflection of how the Tianjin urban culture blend in the bus station system design based on the above two theory. For this reason, the first quarter of the first part conducted case analysis based on the regional design of urban culture, inspired through two outstanding case of regional design. And then I did the research of the present situation of bus stop in Tianjin in order to make the design more targeted. In the end,I proposed application principles and design strategy about the Tianjin urban culture and the combination of bus stop.In the fifth part, I organized the ideas of the bus stop design based on urban culture and selected three representative stations, the Northeast stand in ancient culture blocks of Tianjin, Pukoudao station in the Fifth Avenue and Xueyuan road station in Hexi district, and conducted targeted analysis of the background of the targeted area of the street and the traffic environment. In the end, I conducted the design practice in the cultural field based on my ponderation of design theory of culture mentioned in the above chapters.
