| Excitation system plays an important role in power system’s stable operation. Theincrease of unit capacity and the power grid scale bring huge economic benefits, however,small signal stability, low frequency oscillation and system failure problem areincreasingly serious, the grid turns more and more unstable. The regulation of excitationsystem is one of the most effective way to improve the stability of power system.Large bulb tubular unit widely used the shunt excitation method. At first, this paperdescribes the composition and principle of self and shunt excitation system, and theexcitation of main circuit parameters are calculated. Then establish the mathematicalmode of each unit,explain the PID control law and parameter setting method.Secondly, based on the large light penetration unit excitation Xiajiang hydropowerstation system commissioning, we study the no-load and load closed-loop characteristicof excitation system, and ensure that the system can effectively perform its due functionscorrectly.Finally, we establish stand-alone power system simulation model–infinity on theMATLAB platform, analyzed the simulation performance of the excitation system. Thenwe contrast the simulation with the field application of the excitation and proved that thesimulation model and parameters of excitation system are corret. Simulation provided acertain basis for the application which can speed up the commissioning progress, reducethe damage to the real machine. Then we applied the adaptive control theory in Powersystem stabilizer(PSS), carry on the disturbance of simulation and compare with theconventional PSS, the simulation results show that the adaptive PSS can effectivelysuppress low frequency oscillation, better than PSS in anti-interference performance, andhas practical application value. |
