At present, the rapid development of the automotive industry has alsobrought a series of problems. In the face of increasingly severe environmentaland resource situation, developing and using of new energy vehicles such aselectric vehicles,has important strategic significance in reducingthe fuelconsumption and the environmental pollution and guaranteeing theenergysupply.New energy vehicles which are zero-emission, energy saving andenvironmental protected, will be the inevitable trend of future automotivedevelopment.As one of the key issues of the electric vehicle technology, research anddevelopment of the drive systems integration of shift processelectric forelectric vehicles are of great significance in improving the electric vehicles’performance of power, economy and environmental protection. However, inthe whole process of shifting, the integrated system has not only the changesof existing systems operating mode, but also the state of the system. Thetypical dynamic nonlinear characteristics also increased the difficulty of theresearch. Based on the operating characteristics of electric vehicles, this paperanalyzed theelectric drive systems, createdthe integrated control strategy andshift schedule of the integrated system.The control of the shifting process isalso simulated, andthe shift coordinate controlleris designed.The mainresearch is as follows:First, according to the requirements of electric parameters and performances,the electric drive system is analyzed and the parametersis matched. Dependingon the operating characteristics of electric vehicle,the shift control strategyofthe integrated electric drive system is developed. Secondly, on the basis of theanalysis of the traditional vehicles’ shifting, the shift schedule for electricvehicle is designed in order to meet the operation characteristics of electricvehicle.The shift schedulesfor power and economy characteristics are bothdesigned. Then, using the simulation software, the simulation model for theelectric drive system shift control is set up and the motor-transmissionintegrated shift control strategy is tested by the off-line simulation. Finally,according to the requirements of the coordinated control strategy,thecoordinatedcontroller was designed and developed.In this paper, the integrated shifting control for the electric drive system ofelectric vehicle was studied. The shift control strategy and the shift scheduleare designed and tested for their rationalities. This paper provides areferencefor the study of electric integration control methodfor electricvehicles.
