China’s car ownership is growing fast owing to the rapid growth of automobile production and sales. The fast growing of car ownership is putting a huge pressure on the energy and the environment, which force us to develop pure electric vehicles that is "energy saving, environmental protection, high efficiency". Electric drive system as the core component of electric vehicles, it is very important for the development of electric vehicles to study its system integration method and the automatic shift control strategy.First, this paper analyzed the research situation of electric drive system at home and abroad, then determined the research content of motor-transmission integration. After analyzed the different kinds of drive motor and transmission, chose permanent magnet synchronous motor and AMT as the drive motor and the automatic transmission of this paper. On the analysis of the effect of different numbers of gear on the performance of the drive motor, chose two gears for the AMT, then designed the structure of motor-transmission integration system for electric vehicle. After finishing the structure design, selected the drive motor parameters and optimized the ratio gears and the shift schedule for the AMT.Second, designed the worm gear and worm shifting mechanism for the AMT according to the structure characteristics. After established the dynamics in each phase shift for the motor-transmission integration system, analyzed the shifting quality in each shift process.Third, based on the analysis of the dynamics in shift process, devised the shifting coordinated control strategy for the motor-transmission integration, and analyzed the concrete control methods for the drive motor and AMT. After making the coordinated control strategy, designed the hardware and software for the coordinated controller.Finally, established the simulation model for the motor-transmission integration in MATLAB/simulink and tested the model under the working condition of UDDS,the results show that the shifting process is ideal. In order to validated the performance of the coordinated controller, builded the bench test, bench test shows that the coordinated control strategy can realize the shift.To solve the problems appeared in the bench test, some advises for improving the performance of coordinating control strategy are given.
