The Application Of Telematics In Vehicle Navigation System

Telematics,which is a compound word of Telecommunications and Informatics, is defined as computer system, wireless communication technology,satellite navigation devices, exchange text, voice and other information of the Internet technology built into the automobile, aviation, ship, train and othermeans of transport and provide information service system. That is to say the wireless network can provide people with a variety of information that necessary for driving and life at any time.Terminal Control Unit is the vehicle module to realize Telematics applications and services. It can utilize the GPS device receives location information and build a two-way data communication via a wireless communication network and the remote service center. At the same time, the vehicle network receives all kinds of state information of the vehicle electronic module. The user can through the vehicle navigation and remote service center of communication to exchange data. In the face of danger, the user can make emergency call.Terminal Control Unit gets the work status of each module in the vehicle, and communicates with the service center.This paper mainly achieved the following work:(1) Analysis of the integrated navigation system and Telematics in vehicle navigation communication and systemstructure, The framework design of each module in the vehicle and the relationship between the software and hardware are described.(2) Research Telematics three key functions:Destination data download function, emergency call function, real-time condition monitoring and maintenance reminder function, and their system analysis and design.(3) Research Telematics three key functions of system analysis and design, detailed application layer software design and realization of its simulation.User requirements for quality of life, as a direct result of user requirements for Telematics services. This thesis mainly discuss the application of Telematics in vehicle navigation.
