Telescopic crawler crane is a kind of new hoisting equipment for special conditions; it integrates the advantages of traditional truck crane and crawler crane. Thanks to the gradual perfection of hydraulic and electric systems and the change from segment market to mainstream market, telescopic crawler crane has attained remarkable achievements in recent years. But there are no professional product standards for telescopic crawler crane now, the design and operation of product can only reference traditional crawler crane and truck crane. Telescopic boom for crawler chassis will accept more lateral load than for car chassis, telescopic boom structure need to improve, but lacking of professional reference data. The stability and buckling capacity of the telescopic boom are completely different with truss arms’, the loading driving of caterpillar chassis should fully consider the influence of dynamic load on telescopic boom, but lacking of corresponding operation specifications.The research of this paper belongs to complicated nonlinear system, the influence of large deflection of boom on the system cannot be ignored, the establishment of virtual prototype of complex caterpillar chassis is time-consuming, common simulation software and simple rigid body dynamics analysis can’t meet the requirements. RecurDyn software using the recursive algorithm and MFBD technology, to provide professional trackLM module, is especially suitable for solving the above problem.This paper first analyzes the driving principle of crawler chassis; gets the related parameters of track and ground. In view of the advantages of RecurDyn software, establishes the crawler chassis and coupled to the arm in RecuDyn, By simulation analysis on different conditions, gets the dynamic curve and coefficient that we cared about, which can provide corresponding reference data for the design and operation of the relevant product.
