Auto-body Manufacturing Workshop Operational Management System For Shanghai Public Vehicle Company

This thesis discusses design and implementation of an auto-body manufacturing workshop operational management system for Shanghai Public Vehicle Company. This system is the task execution layer of the company’s production management system, and provides operation support for production tasks, quality management and craftwork management.Right now, combining with the requirement for new-style vehicle manufacturing, new-style craftwork management and overall quality management, the auto-body manufacturing workshop focuses on completing the following tasks:First, is quality management for the whole manufacturing procedure, especially using the company’s high precision manufacturing management technology to conduct efficient control for the precision of auto-body manufacturing. Manufacturing equipment management, conducts data analysis and workload monitor to the equipments running status, and manages the equipments running, maintenance and output efficiency according to beneficial criteria. Workshop operation schedule management decides production task assignment for equipments and craftworks based on manufacturing plan the workshop’s current working loads. Craftwork management supports many management tasks for each project in each manufacturing craftwork, such as planning, verification, test data management and analysis, and workflow changing, etc. It also periodically counts and analyzes the relevance between product quality accident and craftwork.This paper uses software engineering method to give detailed discussion for the above management system. The system uses Java and database programming, and has already been put into running with the company’s other information systems. It becomes an important part of the company’s manufacturing operational management.
