AC contactor is a kind of important and widely used automatic control electriccomponents, mainly used for frequent connected and open circuit, contact bounce whencontactor closing and arc which produces during opening is the main factor influencing acontactor’s life. In recent years, the domestic and foreign scholars around the AC contactordynamic characteristics and intelligent control to do a lot of research and exploration work.However, the presented method and thought have some flaws and shortcomings, the controlmethods are basically open-loop control method, the control precision is low, these methodsare susceptible to outside interference, and poor reliability. Due to mechanism action ofdispersion and timeliness is large, more uncertain factors affect the mechanism action time,output once appears the error can not be compensated, so it will not be able to better achievearcless interruptions and no bouncing closure, In order to solve these problems, This paperproposed a new structure that asynchronous modular and control method. Design a structurethat asynchronous modular, and its three-phase contactor consists of three separate contactsystems that closed-loop control. And make closed loop control system combined withcontactor, by the velocity feedback achieved closed loop control of motion process ofcontactor. Contactor achieved arcless interruptions and no bouncing closure, increased theservice life.This paper first gives the asynchronous modular contactor structure, then design the sizeand structure of the electromagnetic system of a phase. Every phase contact system’s core is asingle E-type structure. According to the contactor CJX1-63, this paper design of contactsystem and counterforce characteristics of the asynchronous modular contactor. This papergives the turns and the window area of exciting coil, calculates the electromagnet coilinductance, resistance and movable part of the quality the electromagnet coil.In this paper, the electromagnetic system of the asynchronous modular contactor areanalyzed and calculated by Ansoft. According to the results of the simulation calculation byAnsoft, this paper applied MATLAB data fitting method, and optimized the air gap permeance,the new air gap permeance formulas are given. In this paper, the opening and closing controlsystem of asynchronous modular contactor simulated by Simulink software, studied the dynamic characteristics, and optimized programming speed and the PID control parameter.Through the simulation can be obtained, the asynchronous modular contactor can effectivelyeliminate contact bounce when the contact closing and the arc generated when breaking,increased the service life.
