In order to respond the situation change of domestic and international economic andenergy,The construction of strong smrat grid has become an enssential part of nationalelectricity energy strategy in21century.Realization of smart grid is based on efficientcommunication network,through the sensor mensurement and control decisions to achieve asafe and realiable grid.Traditional grid communication mode is wired systerm,such as RS-485bus,can bus,ethernet,etc.Zigbee is a low cost、low power consumption and low complexityshort distance wireless conmmunication technology. Using it to alternative the wiredmonitoring network of grid load terminals can improve the economics of grid operation.The main work and innovation of this article are as follows:(1)Studied the monitoring requirement and communication process of traditional gridload, compared the characteristics between different kinds of wireless communicationtechnology. Designed a wireless monitoring network on grid load side based on ZigBee.(2)Deeply researched ZigBee technology and its protocol specification. Studied thecommunication channel selection on the physical layer, the data access mechanisms on datalink layer, focused on network building process and routing algorithm on network layer.Achieved network communication by C language programming.(3)Used NS2software to simulate the network forming and communication process,tested the packet delivery delay, the total network forwarding network routing packet and thepower consumption per unite time, then put forward a new algorithm based on ant colonyoptimization algorithm and data structure characteristics according to the three networkperformance index and current ZigBee routing algorithm.(4)Carried on iterative computation on traditional and new algorithm, educed threeobjective function value, the results showed that the optimization algorithm can reduce packetdelivery latency, packet forwarding, power consumption and improve network performance.The simulation of network by NS2indicated this option.
