Basalt fiber as a kind of inorganic continuous fiber made by natural basalt ore, not only ownthe advantage as corrosion resistant, high temperature resistant, low cost, but also own the excellentmechanical properties and natural compatibilities. And it was widely used in many areas, especiallyas the new material in the area of concrete reinforcing, its effects become increasingly obvious inactual engineering.The paper combined with the design requirements for common concrete runway and theperformance carries out some experimental study on basalt fiber reinforced concrete mechanicalproperty in different kinds of preparation method, as compression, bending and splitting. Thenanalyzes the mechanism for adding strengthen and resilience according to classical theories of fiber-concrete and SEM pictures, and creates runway models witch surface course made by basalt fiberreinforced concrete, and then carries out some simulations and analysis by finite element software,the last is drawing the conclusion. The detailed contents are as follows:1. The paper carries out some experimental study on basalt fiber reinforced concretemechanical property in different kinds of preparation method and fiber volume content, ascompression, bending and splitting. The results show that: the basalt fiber can not improvecompressive strength of concrete obvious, but the improvement of bending and splitting strength isconsiderable, and the two kinds of strength is increasing along with the adding of the fiber.Furthermore, comparing with the normal method, cement paste encircling fiber method is better atimproving the bending and splitting strength.2. The paper analyzes the mechanism for adding strengthen and resilience according to thetheories of classical and dissipative. First makes the scanning samples by the basalt fiber reinforcedconcrete in different kinds of preparation method and fiber volume content, then observes thecombinative condition of fiber with concrete by scanning electron microscope, the last is comparingthe SEM pictures of the samples. The results show that: comparing with normal method, concretemade by preparation method has some better performances as the porosity of concrete, the disperseperformance of fiber, the effect of hydration and the caking property.3. The paper creates runway models witch surface course made by basalt fiber reinforcedconcrete, and carries out some simulations and analysis by finite element software of ABAQUS, then analyzes the stress and transformation of the runway under the conditions of different kinds ofairplanes, the results show that:runway witch surface course made by basalt fiber reinforcedconcrete has advantageous mechanical properties and can meet practical requirements.The research shows that: as a kind of composite material for engineering which has goodmechanical performance and advantageous economy, basalt fiber reinforced concrete will surely beused in engineering widely. The research result provides beneficial reference for the material usedfurther in the engineering.
