In the field of the hydraulic transmission and control, new high-tech functional materials, Giant Magnetostrictive Material (abbreviated GMM),with the characteristics of high frequency response, large output force and strong load capability, immediately attracted scholars’research after it was discovered,which has been applied to the hydraulic pump as a driving element;It can directly convert electrical energy into linear motion of the mechanical energy, can well solve the disadvantages of low efficiency,large output and flow,easy damage,low life expectancy and big noise of impact of the traditional pumps.lt has an extensive research significance in the field of fluid transmission.Giant Magnetostrictive materials is presented in this paper, on the basis of good features, a kind of tiny pump with three plunger cavity using Giant Magnetostrictive Actuator(GMA) as power element has been designed. Through the theoretical analysis of giant magnetostrictive actuators,buliding its static and dynamic mathematical model and the AMEsim modeling and simulation and the simulation results show the GMA step rise time is only0.197ms, output force of1467n, the displacement output of96.55microns, through the analysis the design of GMA in this paper has a very fast response, a big displacement and force output, which can completely meet the requirements of high frequency small pump for the design of the driving element. As it is designed in this paper, on the basis of the GMA, three high frequency small plunger pump is proposed based on GMM actuator for the purpose of improving the response speed of the micro pump and self-priming capacity.It has concluded the main factors that affect their work performance by comprehensive analysis and research on the general structure of the high frequency small three plunger pump, mathematical model, the structure of the hydraulic end and various parameter through theoretical analysis, finite element analysis, AMESim modeling simulation methods and every parameters;used the ANSYS software to analysis the GMA excitation magnetic field by the way of finite element analysis, determined the most reasonable magnetic loop materials and match clearance, optimized the structure of the magnetic circuit; By analyziing the research results indicate:setting reasonable driving frequency, damping coefficient, load stress and the equivalent mass can improve the output flow of the high frequency small three plunger pump. Under the driving frequency of300hz, the steady output flow of the three high frequency small plunger pump based on GMM actuator is1.035L/min, rising step response time of0.297ms, the steady state adjust time Ts=1.45ms, pump cavity inside and outside the maximum differential pressure is1.958Mpa, self-priming height of3.865m.Above all, three high frequency small plunger pump based on GMM actuator designed in this paper has fast response speed, strong self-priming capacity, stable flow output advantages, etc, It can meet the work requirement of the sophistcated flow control and without irrigation pump ahead of time, so it can be used in national defense, medical treatment, agriculture and forestry, etc.
