Low-cost and high-performance image capturing and displaying systems are requiredwidely in the field of industry, aviation, and military in the digital information age. With therapid development of CMOS image sensor technology in recent years, the quality ofproduction technology is improved not only in the integration, cost, power consumption ofthe device and difficulty of development; it has also got distinct advantages compared withtraditional CCD sensors. Therefore, learning and developing an image capturing anddisplaying system which is based on high-performance CMOS sensors, mastering the coretechnology and development experience quickly are meaningful to develop the related fieldof image capturing and displaying.With the development of computer technology and peripherals interface technology, itrequires the quality of other device is higher. In the advantage of hot plug, high speed stabletransmission and bus-powered, the Universal Serial Bus has been used widely in computerperipheral unit. Now the USB interface is used in all field of normal computer datatransmission.Based on the theory of AOTF, this article introduced the following contents:Firstly, analysed the CMOS image sensor MT9M001which has been used in image collection selectively.And completed the software and hardware design of image collection system with the detector chip.Secondly, completed image data translation function based on CY7C68013chip which provided by Cypress. Also, designed the hardware cycle and software program based on theUSB chip.Thirdly, designed and completed upper computer software of image collecting andstoring with VC++6.0.At the end of the article, gave out analysis and summary of the system, and pointed out the weakness, the area which needs more improvements.
