Under the pressure of energy crisis and environment protection, the Hybrid Electric Vehicle(HEV) that combines the merits of the conventional internal-combustion vehicles and electric vehicles has been the effective means to alleviate the shortage of energy sources with improvement of the environment with the advantage of its flexible structure and easy implementation. As the spirit of the multi-energy control system for Hybrid Electric Vehicle, the control strategy is the key to determine the performance of HEV. The Simulation is very necessary to assist the modern control strategies development, so the study of control strategies simulation system is very important.Towards the research and development of Power train of Parallel Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV), firstly several structure types are introduced. The power flow, the power balance and the dynamic analysis on the PHEV are carried out. The parameter matching for hybrid drive system is studied including the choice of the engine, the motor and the drive train system.Based on the analysis of the work mode of PHEV, the parallel electric assist control strategy, adaptive control strategy, the fuzzy logic control strategy and the choice of appropriate control strategy are narrated. The hybrid drive system has been modeled in Matlab/Simulink and the principle of fuzzy logic control strategy is explained. Furthermore the fuel use mode and the efficiency mode are simulated in ADVISOR2002.The Vehicle Control System is designed including the hardware and the software and a driving experiment is carried out.At last the summarization and expectation on this topic are lied.
