High voltage switchgear as an important electrical equipment for receiving anddistribution of electric energy in power system,its safety and reliability has been paid moreattention. High voltage switchgear joint transmission lines,bus and other contacts either looseor aging can cause contact resistance increases,the temperature rise caused by heatconcentration will seriously affect the normal operation of the high voltage switchgear,andeven cause power system collapse,causing fires and blackouts. Therefore,monitoring thetemperature of joints,bus and other contacts with high voltage switchgear,is a practicalproblem in urgent need of the safe operation of electrical equipment in power system. Basedon the engineering background,this paper designs a wireless,self-powered,miniaturetemperature measuring system for high voltage switchgear.Through detailed analysis of domestic and international related technology and researchstatus of high voltage switchgear temperature measurement system,put forward designtarget,system functional requirements and the overall design:multi-point network approach:an8-channel temperature measurement nodes corresponding1channel receiver system. Thenbuilt the hardware system in which MSP430F149microprocessor acted as the core,andelaborated the hardware circuit design from hardware and components. Chose the digitaltemperature sensor DS18B20with lug type probe connect cable connector seamlesslycomplete measurement. Based on the use of micro-power short-range wirelesscommunications technology designed nRF24L01chip wireless communication module, toachieve the temperature data wireless transmission. The power of system node based on buspowered of electromagnetic induction can work continually. Designed data transmissionmodule communication with PC to fulfill data processing,display and storage. Each modulehas realized miniaturization and low power consumption. Using modular,structured designmethod completed the design of system software program,including the program design of nRF24L01and DS18B20by the control of MSP430F149. Finally, designed thetemperature measuring system software of high voltage switchgear based on LabVIEW.On the basis of above work,set up the experimental platform system,carries on the test tothe system performance. The experimental results show that the system module worksproperly,has achieved the desired design goal.
