High voltage switchgear is widely used in China, and it is mainly used to turn onand off the power lines, transmit and switch power load, discharge faulty equipment.The running state of it is directly related to the stability and reliability of the electricpower system. Therefore, monitoring the condition of the high voltage switchgear, toensure its normal operation, is of great significance for reliable operation of electricpower system. However, the high voltage switchgear is sealed. And there are highvoltage and strong electromagnetic interference in its interior. So the traditionalmonitoring methods, for example, thermocouple temperature measurement methodand expansion thermometer temperature measurement method, can not work.For the special working environment of high voltage switchgear, a newtemperature real-time monitoring system based on infrared wireless transmission wasdesigned. The system consists of power supply module, temperature measurementmodule, infrared transmission module and monitoring module. The temperature ismeasured with digital temperature sensors max6576directly. Current transformerpower-supply is obtained from high voltage trunk and the signal is transferred withinfrared ray in order to achieve the wireless transmission. Monitoring module ismainly responsible for the generation of synchronization signal and thedisplay,alarm,upload.The problems of how to obtain a stable power supply and how to ensure that thesystem is capable of stable operation under strong electromagnetic interferenceenvironment were solved in this paper.The system has made the anti-interference test and test run in high voltageswitchgear. The experimental results indicate that the system can work with highstability and reliability, and it has low power, quick response and enhanced anti-EMIcapabilities.
