Study On Spatial Morphology Of Rural Settlement In Northern Hainan

Hainan Island,located in China’s southernmost,is separate away from the political center of the country by Qiongzhou Strait, its development in the cultural, social, etc. are lagging behind on the mainland, has been in the natural, slow and steady development of the state. It is also because of its inaccessibility, little outside interference, even in today’s rapid economic development, Hainan Island, there are still many traditional settlement maintains its natural evolved authenticity. Meanwhile, Hainan unique island location, low middle high surrounding topography created by climatic conditions, so that the living environment is different from Hainan Island mainland elsewhere. Therefore, the formation and evolution of the traditional Hainan space form is also bound to have their different characteristics.Northern Hainan, as a pioneering Hainan origin, has a long history. Meanwhile, Northern Hainan also is the political, economic, cultural and transportation center of Hainan Province, and is an important transportation hub of Hainan Island to the outside world. Its unique geographical conditions and historical status, through cultural transmission, commercial exchanges, migration plays an extremely important role in the historical and cultural development process of Hainan. Therefore, Northern Hainan has important historical position and typical in the history and culture of Hainan. Taking Northern Hainan as the research scope, hoping to take China as an example, for subsequent expansion to other areas in Hainan.Research is divided into the following three sub-propositions:(1) Settlement as a whole, what is the shape of its boundaries graphics features, the relationship between the geometric characteristics and formation conditions of this settlement;(2) Settlement space can be divided into single building space, courtyard and public space, What is the relationship between corresponding indicator data of the three subspace and the settlements structured degree;(3) What’s internal organizational philosophy of each element in high-energy settlement public space.Around the above three sub-propositions, the paper is divided into five chapters:The first chapter is an introduction, describes this research background, purpose and meaning, concepts, research areas and research framework, and so on.The second chapter using graphic background analysis method translates settlement plan into figure-ground diagram. With the of shape index, sub-concept dimension, etc. landscape ecology, and quantify settlement boundary, get the most suitable quantitative analysis method for the settlement boundary shape by compare, and analyze the overall characteristics of settlement boundary shape and influencing factors The third chapter divided settlement space into single building space, courtyard and public space, and quantify quantitative indicators (building density, courtyard space ratio, fractal dimension) of three space corresponding, and to explore the relationship between the three indicators data and structural features of settlement.The chapter IV, each pick a larger settlement plan as sample from middle fractal dimension and high fractal dimension, with urban planning space syntax theory, through ArcMap10program extensions Axwoman6.0, analysis two spatial configuration of public space settlement, further explore the public configuration of the high activity of the settlement.The fifth chapter is a summary of all the quantitative analysis of above.
