In the recent years, the problems of environmental pollution have arouse wide publicconcerns. It has become a global consensus to realize sustainable development of humanbeings by developing new energy vehicles and controlling the emission of traditionalvehicles. The vehicle control unit response for deciding the finial torque of driveline,monitor the situation of CAN network and coordinate the relation between other controllerson board.According to the requirement of BEV, the second part of this paper developedcontrolling algorithm of VCU which possess two gears without a clutch of AMT. The VCUcontrolling strategy is divided into several modes according to different situation of driving.In order to make strategy qualified with specific vehicle, calibrating parameters have beenleft when strategy are made. For shift impact of two gears AMT, the paper pay specialattention to research the strategy of VCU in the process of shifting.With the purpose of validating the rationality of VCU controlling strategy, the third partof this paper made several models, such as motor model, TCU model, VCU model. At thesame time, Carsim had been selected as the vehicle dynamic model to construct unionsimulation system. After the making parameters qualified with the real vehicle, thesimulation model reflected the real situation of vehicle. The paper validated the reliability ofthe union simulation model by using city cycle, the experimental results show that thesimulation model can offer more accurate response condition.The fourth part of this paper designed calibration system based on CCP protocol. Onbased of introducing CCP protocol principles, this part introduce ways to develop CCPdriver in side of controller in detail. Finally, the CCP driver suited for MPC5634Mmicrochip have been developed and works well in the process of vehicle test. The paper alsoget into deep research in the field of controlling software developing and come up with thehierarchical model of the controlling software.The final parts of the paper validate performance of the test EV by executing differentkinds of experiments. First, the paper test basic performance of VCU by applying self-ownedHIL test platform. According to the result, The VCU can better following the driver’sintention to control electric car. In the following real vehicle test, parameters in thecontrolling algorithm had been modified and optimized by using CCP calibration system.The test result reflected that VCU enjoyed high quality of performance and reliability. Thecalibration system are also operating well.
