Due to the rapid development of the shipping industry, the demand for shipping talents in terms of quality and quantity is increased at the same time. The training of shipping personnel work must be strengthened, and the corresponding simulator is also developed. Virtual reality technology in marine simulator is getting more and more attention. And the ship power system is a independent and complex power system. The operation on the electrical equipment has always been a difficult and important aspect for training. In the hope of establish a mathematical model of ship power system and in the use of the latest development of virtual reality technology, some meaningful work will be done in the research of the ship power system for a part of marine simulator.Firstly, a whole set of mathematical models of ship power system are set up. Taking some298000tons of VLCC ship power system as the research object, mathematical models of the system are established, including the generator speed control system model, synchronous generators model, excitation system model, asynchronous motors loads. And the synchronous generator model has been verified by the MATLAB/SIMULINK simulation software.Secondly, two-dimensional ship power system simulator is developed. Based on Visual Studio2010C#programming language, a two-dimensional simulator interface of ship power system simulator is designed and achieved with Winform framework. With the analysis for the control logic of the research object, a tow-dimensional simulator is developed. The software, fully functional, can be manually operated the system equipment, set fault parameters and changed the system variables. The friendly interface can realize the display of important system parameters from background model.Finally, three-dimensional ship power system simulator is developed based on Unity3D platform. Firstly a three-dimensional simulator for ship power system is built with3ds Max modeling software. Some necessary textures are made and the model is optimized. The model is then imported into the Unity3D platform with.Fbx format. According to the actual control logic of the ship power system, the virtual reality design is achieved based on Unity3D platform, using scripting languages.The study and design of the system has a certain practical and innovative significance. The research and design for the ship in the field of three-dimensional virtual reality technology has a certain reference value.
