At present, ergonomics theory has been got fully research and application in the field of product design. Safety ergonomics theory derived from ergonomics theory has got certain application in the safety production and management field. However, due to a slower development of corresponding subject and technology, safety ergonomics theory has not got a comprehensive study in the field of product design. In this thesis, using the tower crane safety monitoring and control system as a carrier, to study the application of this safety ergonomics theory.Tower crane safety monitoring and control system appears in the background of construction safety information era, which is in order to solve the safety problems in the process of construction and dismantlement. It has certain rigid requirements in the process of installation,operation and maintenance.First, the thesis analyzes the present development situation and existing problems of Tower crane safety monitoring and control system. Then, to research the user and working environment and get the specific design goals. Then on the basis of safety ergonomics theory, to analyze human-machine-environment factors of Tower crane safety monitoring and control system, which provides the theoretical basis for the design principle. Finally, I sum up the relevent design principles for Tower crane safety monitoring and control system.In the phase of theoretical demonstration, I select the two products of Tower crane safety monitoring and control system as design carriers, which have the most human-machine interactive factors. The two products are the main control unit and display terminal. In the process of design, I make full use of safety ergonomics principles and combine with the product innovation design method. At last, I propose highly security usability design solutions, which all conform to the enterprise product image. In which, the display terminal has implemented and got good evaluation.Now, in the increasingly competitive era of tower crane safety monitoring industry, this research has a certain degree of significance for product design, and also has certain inspiration function for the creative design of similar products.
