Mathematical Analysis, which is the significant theoretical principle and methodfor people to realize the beauty of architecture, was utlized in architecturalcomposition in very early ages. There are many theories on Mathematical Analysisand examples of its applications to architectural composition in history. But it is lackof systematic summary and analysis. In response to this phenomenon, this papermainly analysis the methods of Mathematical Analysis and its applications toarchitectural composition.Firstly, this reserch gives details on the definition of the architecturalcomposition, summarized the function of architectural composition, indicating theimportance of architectural composition and its increasingly complicated trends, analysisd the basis of the architectural composition plentifully,in order to reflect thearchitectural composition is difference between the architectural composition and theother art classes,as well as reflected the scientific characteristics of the architecturalcomposition.Secondly, author teased mathematics achievement as well as varying degrees ofimpact on the results of these studies to the architecture in its various stages, highlighting the important value in mathematical analysis in architectural composition. Also summarized the application of mathematical analysis based on the architecturalcomposition and mathematical analysis categories. Then, studied the way of mathematical analysis in the application of architecturalcomposition and initially conclude several main ways of mathematical analysisthrough associating the architectural form with mathematical analysis methods. Finally, this article summarizes the two characteristics of the mathematicalanalysis and its present situation, concluded that the research achievements ofmathematical analysis still stays in two-dimensional composition level, so itsdevelopment prospect is put forward.
