As the Internet increasingly penetrate into the Chinese people’s lives, many companies realize the importance of the Internet to its product strategy and come into the Internet product development field. This led to the increasing of homogenization of the Internet products and services. Some companies began to create their own user experience design department, and hope to develop different products by improving the user experience of the product with meeting the user needs. User research is an important part of user experience design. Among all the user research methods, questionnaire is always used as a tool to collect user data in user research because of its advantages of having no time and space limitations, as well as the advantages of low cost of implementation. The current researches on the questionnaire design disciplines, mainly work in medicine and health, education and economic management, etc. area, and rarely in Internet products user research and questionnaire design. The aim of this study is to establish design principles and steps theoretical model of questionnaire design for the design of Internet products, and provide a simple, systematic and logical guidance for questionnaire design. This study brings life cycle theory of Internet product into the questionnaire survey in Internet user research by case studies. Additionally, a questionnaire library system is developed based on the theoretical model. An experiment is designed to verify the availability and effectiveness of the questionnaire library system. Experimental results show that the questionnaire library can significantly shorten the design time under the premise of questionnaire quality, and can help the non-professional researchers improve the questionnaire design quality.
