With the rapid development of China’s space industry, the complexity and diversity of space flight tasks, space deployable mechanisms will play a more important role, and the key technology research will be of greater application value and practical significance.According to the existing structure method and evolution rule of polyhedron, this project aims to analyse polyhedral space geometric relations and topological types, obtain its structure transformation characteristics, test the deployable mechanism on deployment behavior by simulation, focus on the research of space spherical deployable mechanism and promote the performance and improve the reliability, finally construct a series of spherical developable mechanism types for the application to radar calibration satellite, lay a solid foundation for our national defense construction and economic development.This paper focuses on the research of space spherical deployable mechanism based on the need of breakthroughs of its key technology determining the first space radar calibration satellite of china, including these aspects as follows:Firstly, base on screw theory and polyhedral geometry, kinematic characteristics of the complex space spherical deployable mechanisms composed of scissors elements and three-legged platform are analysed, and the conclusion is obtained that the DOF is1;Secondly, aiming at this kind of space spherical deployable mechanism based on the concept of space polyhedron, mobility analysis models are set up based on software Mathematica and the numerical examples are given, and the method of top-down design and parameterized modeling is presented. Further the Pro/E Customized Development is completed. Through the interface and background operation, the results of configuration design for space spherical deployable mechanism can be obtained;Finally, in view of the zero-gravity environment of the space spherical deployable mechanism for radar calibration, the research of the method and equipment of test on ground for large deployable mechanism, lay a foundation for engineering verification.
