The shape-changing polyhedral mechanism not only has the characteristics of high stability,high strength and high contraction closure of polyhedron mechanism,but also has the characteristics of deformation mechanism which can change its shape according to the needs of environment.It can adapt to many working environments with high strength and great changes,and can adapt to the needs of practical engineering application to a greater extent.Therefore,it is of great significance to the structural design of the shape-changing polyhedral mechanism.First of all,a kind of basic unit that is the shape-changing bending mechanism unit.which can change the shape is designed,It has two kinds of motion configurations.After reaching the transition configuration,it can choose to change to the scissors motion and PR motion through the superposition and separation of the moving platform.The shape-changing bending mechanism unit can be reasonably arranged in the polyhedron frame as the basic unit,so as to construct the variable shape polyhedron mechanism.Secondly,based on the structural characteristics of Platonic polyhedron,a bending mechanism unit with variable symmetry and shape is designed as the basic unit,and a construction method of Platonic polyhedron mechanism with variable shape is proposed,in which the moving platform is respectively placed in a special position of the polyhedron and connected with the basic unit,The design method of the platform and the bending angle of the basic unit are given.Taking tetrahedron as an example,three kinds of tetrahedral mechanisms with variable shape are constructed according to the design method.Three kinds of tetrahedral mechanisms with variable shape are simulated and verified by SolidWorks.Finally,based on the structural characteristics of Archimedes polyhedron,a bending mechanism unit with asymmetric shape and variable shape is designed as the basic unit.The similarities and differences between the configuration variable Archimedean polyhedron and the form variable Plato polyhedron are analyzed and designed for the special vertex moving platform,Taking the angle cutting tetrahedron as an example,three kinds of variable form tetrahedron mechanisms are constructed according to the design method.The three kinds of variable configuration of the intercepting tetrahedron are simulated and verified in SolidWorks.Through the above work,a way to construct shape-changing polyhedral mechanism is proposed,which expands the direction for the subsequent research of polyhedral mechanism. |
