Cylinder structure because of its high bearing capacity, light weight and so on, therefore in the nuclear industry, high-speed train impact structure, construction, shipbuilding, petrochemical, explosion, and aviation engine, is often used in the field of rotating machinery. But these advantages also makes the structure of the external excitation resistance ability is weak, very prone to vibration.The opening ring vibration damping structure is installed in a rotating cylinder wall, by centrifugal force on inner wall of vibration energy consumption, relatively small displacement in the damping ring and the cylinder wall caused by dry friction, thereby reducing the amplitude of vibration of thin-walled cylindrical.The paper focus on the contact pressure and contact stiffness between opening damping ring and thin-walled cylinder with applying theories of elastic mechanics, material mechanics and contact mechanics for cylinder composite structure, on this basis, according to the structure of system dynamics theory to establish the equivalent linear system model of thin-walled cylindrical composite structure. In the rotating and stationary conditions, respectively, of installation position damping ring using ANSYS software, the damping sleeve opening section area, volume, speed and other parameters on the effect of the thin-walled cylinder combination structure of different frequencies and mode shapes.And then study the frictional contact model between the damping ring and the opening thin-walled cylinder according to the teratology theory, and apply relevant theories and ANSYS mechanical contact algorithm related with MATLAB and ANSYS software to research the damping ring damping effect of different cross section, primarily reveals the opening damping ring for vibration control of cylindrical shell structure.
