Circular Arc Gear is used in metallurgy,mining, petroleum, chemical other industries widely due to it’s advantages of simple manufacturing process, low cost, and it has a higher bearing capacity and easier to form a film compared with involute gear, and it does not produce harmful tooth surface pitting and no undercutting. Researching on the variation of contacting stress and bearing stress during the double arc gear meshing process and pointing out the double arc gear meshing dangerous status and location can provide a basis for optimizing the design of gear transmission.In this paper, based on the meshing principle of double circular arc gear, the Pro/E3D model established with the parameter design method, achieved its modeling efficient, fast and accurate.Traditional gear strength calculation methods are introduced briefly, and the analysis process and modeling steps of finite element method are presented.A couple of the double Circular Arc Gears is established in ABAQUS finite element analysis software with a certain parameters and same width. Simulated the real rotation of gears, a genal, static finite element modeling is calculated, contacting stress regular during gears meshing process under heavy-load, suitable-load and light-load condition was researched, and pointed out the most dangerous state of the contacting stress in the gear meshing process in different conditions; bearing stress regular during gears meshing process under heavy-load and suitable-load condition was researched, and indicated the most dangerous location of the bearing stress occured in different conditions; the values is compared between the results of finite element calculated and calculation results of GB, and show that the value of GB is too small.A couple of the double Circular Arc Gears is established in ABAQUS finite element analysis software with a certain parameters and same width, mises stress variation along the axial at contacting points in several typical state, when the contacting point is located in the tooth end, the value of mises lager obviously; by tooth end relif, tooth end stress is diminished.Designing procedure and checking procedure of Circular Arc Gear are finished by VB. it’s an efficient, quickly way to design and check gear, and greatly reducing the design cycle.
