Based on "mechanism","animation","MECHANCIA" module in Pro/E software, the application of virtual assembly technology in the article run cam mechanism of the assembly and motion simulation, the purpose of which is to form the law of movement and the force in the cam mechanism is vividly demonstrated by the beginners of cam mechanism learning, and get the displacement curve, stress of mechanism.The research methods, the first using the Pro/E module "mechanism" for cam mechanism with the3D model of the assembly, assembly process model is in accordance with certain constraints or connection, the parts will be assembled into a whole and meet the design function; the second using the "animation" module display the whole cam mechanism, through the use of key frame technology, with transparent and a variety of display timing performance style, generating cam running, assembly, structure display animation; the last use of "MECHANCIA" module analyze the performance of cam mechanism, the simulation of the actual environment, evaluation of design of dynamic, static performance of structure. The paper focuses on the connection method between disk cam and roller follower, analysis of the key frame technology "snapshots" of using the method, analysis of the displacement and the stress of the cam follower.The technology of the virtual assembly is created near the practical virtual environment, it is convenient for the assembly process to simulate, to analyze and to predict assembly performance of the product, which has important practical significance in practice teaching and the actual production.
