In recent years, China has begun to enter the stage of urbanization. Urbanization is theprocess of modernization and the continuously improving level of farmers’ way of life andproduction of the farmers. It’s also an important symbol to measure the level of developmentof a country or region. However, due to the lack of a clear definition of urbanization transportfunction, the urbanization roads restrict economic development because of its high rate oftraffic accidents while promoting economic development between the towns. China currentlydoes not have a comprehensive, informative safety evaluation system for each level ofurbanization highway. Therefore, it’s necessary for the guidance of the safe design andoperation of our highways to establish reasonable scientific operating speed prediction model,research road safety evaluation index design method and propose security measures.The paper is based on urbanization road to study accident-induced mechanism ofinteraction between people, vehicles and road environment and analyze the morphology of theaccident, the accident distribution characteristics, accident-prone road sections and potentialaccidents road traffic characteristics. At the same time, this paper propsed the method toestablish operating speed prediction model, and established a predictive model of roadoperating speed of urbanization based on the analyzing the relationship of vertical andtransverse section of Highway urbanization level parameters and road operating speed.Finally, this paper established urbanization Highway Traffic Safety evaluation index systemanalysis methods through the analysis of of urbanization road accident mechanism as well asthe evaluation of existing domestic Highway Traffic Safety, in a view of systems engineeringperspective and in the principle of scientific feasibility, systemic and comparability. It alsoproposed highway alignment security evaluation standard based CCRs, linear independenceand security design methods. According to the analysis of the operating speed and the speedlimit, this paper put forward security measures such as reasonable urbanization road speedlimit to the guidance of China’s urbanization highway safety design, thereby reducing the roadaccident rate of urbanization, and promoting urban economic development.
