Paper analyzed several capacity calculation methods, putting forward the minimum time interval and the minimal interval method of train diagram. The minimum time interval of train diagram was what considered train stop, passing and overtaking that generated extra interval occupied time.Paper analyzed the necessary factors related to the passing capacity in the calculation process, such as train running effective time, the minimal interval time of train diagram, running buffer time, and its calculation method. While in extra occupied interval time calculation, respectively analyzed and calculated the same direction of running train set and different direction train set. Then using the method of analysis and calculation of different running train set stop-schedule plan, got extra interval occupied time. And got the average train extra interval occupied time by averaging the total extra interval occupied time for each train set. At the same time, using Visual Studio2010programming development tools and the MySQL database, completed the development of the single track railway passing capacity system.Also, taking Jiaoxin line of Jinan Railway Bureau as an example, calculated standard line capacity and usage passing capacity, and then made comparative analysis with the actual operation of the train number.
