In this topic, a type of powder metallurgy automotive synchronizer gear hub mold isused as the research object, to complete the overall structure design of the mold, mold designand finite element analysis of the mold, in order to solve the problems that exist in the actualproduction. At the same time, solutions are put forward that aimed at the problems in theactual production.Because of the limitation of enterprise of powder metallurgy press type, and therequirement of density distribution uniformity of powder metallurgy automotive synchronizergear hub, designers must change the design of the powder metallurgy parts, so that it canconform to the requirements of the repression. So we must use the sequence of mechanicalprocessing to require the design size. Using this method may solve the limitation of theenterprise equipment, but the uniformity of density distribution is not high and processingprocess is tedious. Thus it may reduce the enterprise’s production efficiency, increasing theenergy consumption and production costs.In order to solve the above all problems, this paper designed a set of Powder metallurgyprecision molding mold for automotive synchronizer gear hub. Firstly this paper introducesthe current situation and prospect of powder metallurgy technology, as well as the generalsituation of the development of powder metallurgy mold. Secondly, it introduces the principleof powder metallurgy suppressing, including pressing density, pressing pressure, theuniformity of density distribution of more steps and the analyzing of product defect. Then,designing the powder metallurgy mold, including product analysis, the analysis of originalmold design, the design of overall plan, the design of main parts and the disc spring,completing the initial design requirements, improving uniformity of density distribution,meeting requirements of less sequence of mechanical processing. Finally, establishing thethree dimensional model with UG, analyzing the structure static stress of the main mold partsand modal of the whole formwork with ANSYS Workbench, So that it can suit for the designrequirements of all parts.
