Due to the fact that automotive plastic parts are generally large sized,a series of problems will present during the process of mold designing and injection molding.Such problems as repeatedly repairing and modifying the die when designing the mold,and having difficulty adjusting processing parameters,feeling hard to control the relations of every single parameter during injection molding etc.What’s worse,buckling deformation may be seen after injecting.Based on these potential problems in the process of the mold design of automotive interior,and the difficulty of exactly controlling every parameter while beginning injection molding,this article is going to use the CAE analysis software Moldflow to carry out finite element analysis for automotive interior.Then conducting the simulation analysis of filling,pressure maintaining,cooling process of plastic melt in mould cavity,using the result of analysis report to provide accurate reference for the design of hot runner mold.through simulation analysis,the best processing parameters of injection moulding are available.Analyze and draw the result of the warpage of plastic parts,and put forward preventing plans of warping.The researches of this article mainly include:(1)Analyzing before establishing moulds,which including product information,cavity layout,the parting line of products,thickness analysis etc..(2)Finite element modeling of the Moldflow and the comparison analysis of CAE: pretreatment and statistical analysis of grids,by comparing three different gating systems of the hot runner,obtain the filling time,Pressure at V/P switchover,injection pressure,clamping force,and choose the most suitable gating system to optimize the above processing parameters,providing the most accurate technology for the injection molding of the product.(3)The overall structure design of the hot runner mould: using the analysis result of Moldflow to design the flow channel of the hot runner mold,properly designing the cooling system of the mold and optimizing its structure,and reduce the processing cost of the hot runner mold.(4)The simulation analysis research of the filling,pressure holding and warpage of the plastic part: through the analysis and research of the gating system,gate,and processing parameters of plastic parts with the FEA,the filling of the plastic part and the technology of pressure holding are accurately stimulated and determined.At the same time,through the stimulation analysis,the location where may be weld marks during injection molding is established and precautions are ready.Meanwhile,conducting the simulation analysis of the warpage of the plastic part to make sure the quality of the injection moulding.Through the simulation analysis above,decide the final processing parameters of plastic parts during injection moulding,such as the melt temperature,die temperature,injection time and holding pressure..The above research indicates that with the finite element analysis technique,the intuitive and clear documents are available,which is conducive to understand the physical characteristics of injection molding at all stages and accurately predict the potential molding defects during injection molding.The finite element analysis technique also helps to put forward targeted and effective precautions,and its analysis result is helpful to optimize the flow channel and improve the efficiency of mold design.
