The shock absorber of automobile damping system is an important component of cushion and shock absorption during vehicles on the road, It’s performance has a direct impact on driving stability, steering stability, comfort and the overall service life of the vehicle. Currently, cylinder hydraulic shock absorber is used in vehicle, each part of its rehabilitation valve system in turn fitted in the threaded rod of rod ends and connected together by a nut. To ensure the tightness of each connector, reliability and the ability to resist the impact of external load, effectively improve the life of the rehabilitation valve system;while ensuring the shock absorber maintain a reasonable damping characteristics and smaller damping attenuation. Therefore, shock absorber rod nut must be specified tightening torque tightening and locking handle. Since imports tightening machine is expensive, use single station, etc. At present, some of the shock absorber manufacturers still use pneumatic,hydraulic wrench or simply electric tightening wrench, presence of low manufacturing precision and production efficiency, unstable product quality and bigger labor-intensive and other shortcomings. In order to meet the actual needs of production, the paper design a torque-stake machine for piston rod nut of shock absorber, achieve piston rod nut tightening by designated torque and punch riveting locking work. The research of this paper mainly includes the following aspects:(1) According to function requirement of the torque-stake machine for piston rod nut of shock absorber, complete the mechanical structure design, drawing all agencies mechanical schematic, determine the design and operation of the process of the respective devices(2) On the basis of overall scheme of the requirement, its main devices are designed specifically. According to the work required to select the appropriate electric torque shaft,appropriate action was completed by cylinder and hydraulic cylinders driven. Relative position of each device is identified. Draw concrete structure, the specific working principle is illustrated in detail.(3) On the basis of the above working we use the three-dimensional modeling software Solidworks to design the 3D models, and carried on a series of motion simulation, the simulation result show that the design mechanical model can satisfy the working requirements.(4) Based on the design of mechanical structure, the electrical control system of the equipment is analyzed, and the pneumatic and hydraulic transmission system is confirmed,drawing control flowchart for equipment operation, PLC is used to realize the automatic control of the equipment operation flow diagram.(5) After the torque-stake machine was assembled, carry on site testing and commissioning, to test the design torque-stake machine completion is expected to effectively design requirements and meet the actual production needs.The torque-stake machine for piston rod nut of shock absorber researched in this paper can be referenced by following research of torque-stake machine with higher efficiency and better degree of automation.
