Building energy consumption, especially public building energy consumption problem has aroused more and more attention from the whole society. It is of great significance to achieve building energy-saving system. The advanced technology of OPC UA (Object linking and embedding for Process Control Unified Architecture)has been introduced in order to solve the problems of interoperability and intercommunication between each subsystem and the underlying devices. OPC UA Solves the current problems of energy-saving controlling system about compatibility, security and commonality. At the same time, we set the energy saving optimization controlling communication interface standard of public institutions. With this standard, system can transfer the process data which are based on different communication technologies to the upper energy saving application in a unified data format. OPC Foundation introduced OPC UA specification as a new standard of industrial automation field to provide the possibility of accessing to the data from different equipment.Based on these objectives, the main work of this thesis is as follows:(1) This thesis studies the contents of the OPC unified architecture technology and standard deeply;(2) This thesis use OPC UA to make the energy efficiency data which come from the bottom of the building control system, other field instruments and terminal equipment into a uniform data format;(3) This thesis develops OPC UA server and OPC UA client,and uses two different techniques to build basic lighting and air conditioning system.KNX bus technology and BACnet bus technology are used to realize the simulation subsystem and the energy efficiency monitoring system of public buildings to validate the powerful advantage of OPC UA technology.(4) This thesis develops reasonable energy-saving strategies which are implemented in the OPC UA server and issued by the OPC UA monitoring client.Then realizes the real-time monitoring and energy-saving controlling of energy efficiency data. Through the above work, this thesis realizes the simulation system of public building energy monitoring based on OPC UA technology.This simulation system has a very important role of demonstration for establishing general energy-saving controlling system of public institutions. Through the successful application of OPC UA technology in the public building energy monitoring simulation system, we can see the powerful advantage of OPC UA technology in platform crossing and information modeling aspects.OPC UA shows its great potentiality in building energy conservation and other industrial fields.
