Pattern steel-encased concrete composite beam is a new type of compositestructure.Steel plate is bended into C-cross section, then steel sheet is fixed on theC-steel beam flange by the bolt, finally the concrete is poured into the C-steel beam riband the steel plate surface. This composite beam is of high bearing capacity, stiffness, good stability, steel saving and good application prospect.By the research of theexperiment of the C-beam, outsourcing pattern the experimental study of steel-concretecomposite beams, the following work are completed.Firstly, through the static test research of the two full shear connection and six partialshear connection composite beams, the failure pattern, load-strain curve,load-slipcurves, load-deflection curve, slip-distribution curve and deflection-distribution curve ofthe C-beam are obtained. According to the analysis of the result, the mechanicalproperties and deformation characteristics under different load form are comprehended.Secondly, according to the relative slip mechanism of the composite, infinitesimalmodel is established, then the differential equation is deduced,at last the formula of therelative slip under different loads form is solved. The stiffness is reduced by the relativeslip, which results larger deflection at serviceability limit state. Based on the theory ofrelative slip, the calculation formula of the additional deflection is solve outconsideration the slip effect. Finally, based on the material parameters and geometric parameters of the test, thefinite element analysis software ABAQUS is adopted to establish the C-beam model.According to the results of the finite element analysis, the relative slip of relative slidingalong the beam length distribution and relative sliding under the midspan deflection areobtained. The test values, the theoretical calculation results and the finite elementanalysis results are in good agreement with each other.
