With the great development of automobile industry, assembly technique of drive andtransmission has become more and more high-efficiency, energy saving and automation.Press-mounting machine is indispensable equipment in the independent research anddevelopment of gearbox automated assembly line, its design affects the property ofassembly line and the assembly quality of transmission directly. The machine has acomplicated frame, building the model by traditional design methods would betime-consuming, arduous and inefficient. Establish parameterized platform on basis oflightweight design plays a role in reducing the cost of production and saving resources.This paper conducts related analysis and research on the base of domestic andinternational research towards this series of problems.First of all, the paper expound the research background and the significance of theframe and analyzed the related theory of lightweight and parameterization in detail,selected the proper research methods and worked out the whole research plan.Secondly, analyzed the working process of Press-mounting machine and confirmedthe force situation of the frame, deduced the theoretical calculation formula. Accordingto its parameters, the force and strain of the frame was calculated. The model wasanalyzed on basis of simplifying the frame by the FEA software ANSYS, and the stressand strain diagram was obtained, and the validity of theoretical calculation was verified.The distribution of stress and strain was obtained by theoretical calculation and finiteelement analysis and this provided theoretical foundation and data reference forlightweight design.Afterwards, this paper selected proper variable and designed orthogonal experimenttowards frame and obtained related data according to finite element analysis. Usedrelated statistic knowledge to deal with the orthogonal array and deduced multivariablefunction of body quality, stress and strain, and then established the mathematics modelof body lightweight to do research of lightweight and obtained lightweight frame.At last, this paper took the lightweight frame model as a template to establish theplatform of frame parametric design on basis of SOLIDWORKS environment to realizethe parametric design of body and shorten design cycle-time, improved the designefficiency, and also provided a reference for new product development.
