The problems of urban traffic congestion and vehicle emissions pollution are increasingly more serious in the world, it’s generally believed that the implementation of road congestion pricing can effectively alleviate this kind of phenomenon both at home and aboard. However, the implementation of congestion pricing will influence the spatial distribution of different land use types. Moreover, such changes could affect the traffic distribution and assignment or traffic flow on the whole road network and eventually impact on the vehicle emissions and the air quality. Based on advanced land use and transport integrated model system (TRANUS) and road traffic emissions model-Mobile6, this paper analyzed the influence of congestion pricing on the urban spatial structure and vehicle emissions.Using TRANUS to simulate the Jiangyin city’s land market and traffic network, we develop four different urban development scenarios:trend growth, congestion pricing,TOD (Transit-Oriented development)and comprehensive development(congestion pricing and TOD).Through integrated the land use model and the transport model, the relevant parameters were corrected. The effect of different types of road congestion pricing on the city space structure, urban road network and residents travel behavior were tested. Finaly, the transport results from TRANUS were as the input parameters of Mobile6, which bulit traffic emissions model, then the effect of road congestion pricing on vehicle emissions was investigated.
