With the persistent development of the power system, requirements for electric power equipment reliability are increasing, and more and more stable. At present, China’s economic development is experiencing a fast growth phase, while the national economy and the gradual increase in electricity consumption, the national grid electricity supply mission gradually increase the load increases. With the improvement of power supply capacity of the power supply load increase, followed a safety hazard grid electrical equipment. So for running real-time monitoring of power equipment for the safe operation of the equipment and reduce electricity accidents will have a very real practical significance.Temperature in high-tension switch cabinet or other substation equipment in areas where power load is overweight will be overweight because of its closeness. And then, the safety and stability of electric equipment are directly affected, or even, unpredictable accidents may be caused. Present temperature measurement in high-tension switch cabinet or other substation equipment is aimed at electric contact. Infrared temperature sensors or optic fiber gratings sensors used in temperature measurement make the price cost more expensive as a result of the limitation of temperature measurement principle and method. In addition, on-site installation will be limited by a certain and easily affected by the electromagnetic field in the switch cabinet along with the integration of switch cabinet higher and higher.This paper designs and implements online analysis and early warning monitoring system on status of contact points of substation equipment. Firstly, introduces the research background and related research status and development trend of domestic and foreign topics. On the basis of the related art describes a paper analysis system requirements. Useing surface acoustic wave sensor technology to design passive wireless temperature sensing chip, designing data collector and hardware and software of read-write system, finally implements online analysis and early warning monitoring system on status of contact points of substation equipment. The system is meaningful for condition maintenance and formation and improvement of the relevant technical standards of high-tension switch cabinet, assistant analysis on operation state of power grid.
