| The existing researches and practices show that asphalt mixtures modified by epoxy resin, a kind of excellent paving materials used on steel deck plate, can stand in bad circumstance such as busy traffic current, many heavy vehicles and so on. Aiming at main failure discovered in pavement on steel deck plate, this thesis practiced tests to study some performances closely related with using quality of pavement, which included high-temperature stability, low-temperature cracking-resistance, fatigue cracking-resistance and water stability. Above results were served to evaluate modification effect of epoxy resin and its content.Firstly, design of asphalt mixtures modified by epoxy resin was finished. According to Marshall test method and characters of asphalt mixtures modified by epoxy resin, air void was put forward as control index to design satisfying asphalt mixtures.Secondly, bending creep test was practiced to study viscous-elastic characters of asphalt mixtures modified by epoxy resin. Under different test temperature, modification effect of Epoxy resin and its content was judged upon viscous-elastic characters of asphalt mixtures. And related viscous-elastic parameters were gained according to appropriate simulation model.Thirdly, modification effect of epoxy resin and its content was researched upon high-temperature stability and low-temperature cracking-resistance of asphalt mixtures using rutting test and bending test. Energy method was applied to forecast the cracking trend of asphalt mixtures with different content of epoxy resin.Finally, fatigue equations of asphalt mixtures modified by epoxy resin were calculated based on bending fatigue test results. And modification effect of epoxy resin and its content was studied upon fatigue cracking-resistance. Water stability of asphalt mixtures modified by epoxy resin was also validated using relevant tests.Based on above test results, reasonable content of epoxy resin was proposed to use in paving on steel deck plate.
