For a long time, increase as the number of vehicles, road traffic congestionand vehicle theft problems often occur. The problem has already threatened theprogress of the city. Fully considering the vehicle running safety andmanagement level of modernization, the government and the relevant trafficdepartment are all want to for the project set up based on GPS and GSM/GPRSvehicle monitoring management system, so that you can realize the monitoring,alarm, track and vehicle management, etc. Vehicle monitoring managementsystem can manage the vehicle’s running status real-time and accurately, and canaccording to the real-time vehicle scheduling, vehicle condition and thus cangreatly enhance the level of the intelligent vehicle monitoring management and atthe same time also can effectively improve the work efficiency of eachdepartment.The design of the system first do the overall design and illustrates theworking principle of the system. And then to the function of vehicle terminal andmonitor center, and database design. The main controller module in vehicleterminal connected to the module interface circuit for the design. In the softwaredesign of vehicle terminal, first of all, the main program of this system, the GPSinformation read, data communication protocol, GSM SMS transceiversubroutine, GPRS data packets to send and receive subroutine, buttons anddisplay program has carried on the detailed design and realize the correspondingfunction of the operation process. Then the relevant data collected GPS real timeinformation through the master controller, screening to sort out useful datapackage information through to the GSM/GPRS wireless network serial port tosend AT commands to transmit data to the monitoring center. Through thedetailed design of these aspects realized based on GPS and GSM, GPRS vehicle monitoring and dispatching as one of the basic management functions.Because the research time and space is very limited, so the realization of thefunction will have restrictions, but in many respects, this system has certainability to scale. If you want to make more function to perfect, the need for morein-depth research.This system main realization is vehicle-mounted mobile terminal receivesthe GPS global positioning data information, through the GSM/GPRS wirelesstransmission module sends data fixed IP address of the monitoring center server.The monitoring center the vehicle position data information and map matching,can realize the vehicle position show, trajectory tracking and related query work.The monitoring center command will be issued by issued in the form of GPRSsupplemented the GSM wireless network for vehicle-mounted mobile terminals,realization of vehicle scheduling and management. Compared with the previoussingle way of information transmission, improvement of GSM/GPRS combiningthe advantages of information transmission way and work efficiency is moreobvious on the system.
