Latticed arched frame, which is composed of trussed arch and trussed column, isa derivative of steel-pier arch truss. This type of structure can get larger service spaceby changing the height of trussed columns without changing the rise-span ratio ofstructure. Latticed arched frame have a wide range of application in public buildingsdue to its simple structure, beautiful shape, light structure, definite load conditions, and constructing convenience. At present, the researches on mechanical behavior and structural optimization oflatticed arched frame structures are involved in lots of documents, as well asprestressed frame structures. But the cable-strut arrangements which have beenresearched are mainly beam strings’ cable-strut arrangements. This type of cable-strutarrangement just has applied mechanically the cable-strut arrangement ofprestressed-arch structures without taking into consideration the strengthening oftrussed column and the lateral stiffness of the whole structure. Therefore, study on theintegral tension cable-strut arrangement which is suitable for the latticed arched framestructure is extremely necessary in order to improve the integrity, global stiffness andmechanical behavior of this type of structure. A type of integral tension cable-strutarrangement is proposed to solve such problems in this thesis. And the focus analyseson this new-type structure are as follows:Firstly, the static property and stability of the latticed arched frames with onetype of integral tension cable-strut arrangement and three types of conventionalcable-strut arrangements are compared and the optimal one is then selected. In theperspective of static property, the cable-strut arrangement which is proposed in thispaper is general applicably optimized.Secondly, the integral tension cable-strut arrangement is introduced into thewhole latticed arched frame structure. Geometrically and materially nonlinearparameter analyses of static properties are done for the structure with the integraltension cable-strut arrangement. The parameters include rise-span ratio, heights oftruss beams and truss columns, sizes of member sections, values and distribution ofthe cable pretensions. And the indexes involving the decrease in structuraldisplacement, reduction in horizontal support reactions and decline in member forcesare compared with those of the corresponding non-pretension structure. Finally, the buckling modes of the integral tension pretension latticed archedframe structure are compared with that of the non-pretension structure. Geometricallyand materially nonlinear parameter analyses of stability are done for the structures tomake an evaluation of the impact of various parameters on static stability behaviors. Also, the influences of unsymmetrical distribution of loads and initial geometricimperfection on structural stability are investigated. The research in this thesis can provide theoretical basis and reference for thepractical engineering application of the integral tension pretension latticed archedframe structure.
