Research On Lean Design Process

In a time of drastic change, our society is changing from a mechanized organizati on to an ecological systematic organization. Everywhere is full of unpredictability, jus t like the sand-pile experiments, a small factor may cause the collapse of the whole sy stem. You never forecast what will happen next second. So, the classic management n orms, complex market forecast, and the handling of the current confusion and uncertai nty of product design also need to be updated.Design is also called the fetter of art, which is charactered with both rational and emotional. Design activity has no rigorous logic as like the natural science, yet it has i ts own laws. There are many kinds of design process models, but their essence is the s ame. How to optimize the design of the almost immobilization process? I think it can be considered from two aspects:technology innovation and interdisciplinary studies. This paper, by using the relevant principles of lean thinking, analyzes design process (select one of the basic design cycle), and puts forward the lean concept of the design p rocess with the combination of the three lean elements. In later chapters, through the d esign activity of lean office, this paper completes the lean validation of the design pro cess. And in design practice, either a product design or service improvement, applying the lean thinking, lean tools and lean organization into design work. Fully explore the application of lean thinking in design activities.
