With the development of computer simulation technology, scene simulation technology is more and more mature, and the application of it’s field is more and more widely.In view of the needs of the visual simulation system in development, training and teaching, the paper which took some rocket as research object and based on scene simulation, developed and achieved the assembly of rocket and rocket attack scene simulation system.In virtual assembly design module of rocket, firstly, the paper introduced the virtual assembly technology briefly, then created the rocket model components which is made by UG software, and finally demonstrated the assembly sequence of part assembly and final assembly of rocket by animation.In combat simulation system design model of rocket, the paper studied the key technology of terrain modeling in the virtual scene and terrain transformation algorithm, and created the "fit" format of terrain modeling according to accuracy requirement of actual simulation system. At the same time, the paper also studied some other real-time modeling and simulation technology, such as LOD, the structure optimization of database etc which used in terrain modeling. In the realization process of rocket combat simulation system, the paper studied collision detection algorithm which is used in virtual scene and the test method of intersection in Vega software. The paper studied and achieved the explosion effects of rocket, the tail flame effects and other special effects, and then used Visual C++tool to develop the simulation platform of rocket.From the perspective of the running effect of the simulation system, the paper has achieved the expected design requirement basically, and has achieved the whole process of simulation about the rocket’s launch, flight and attack. The simulation system has a good interaction and higher fidelity, and it can be used in the training and teaching.
