In recent years, with the rapid development of social and economic, theurbanization process is rapidly advanced, which is associated with the explosivegrowth of car ownership. Due to the increasing numbers of cars, traffic congestionand accidents in urban roads are increasingly serious. The problem that residentstravel more and more difficultly has become a social common problem, needed to beaddressed. The public’s desire for the traffic information promotes the rapiddevelopment of modern traffic information service technology. According to the needsof different users, how to provide accurate and efficient traffic information servicebecomes the focus of public concern.Recently, the researches of traffic information service platform organized bygovernment or enterprises have increased significantly. The construction of theseplatforms urgently needs systematic theory to guide and high applied key technologyto support. Combined with the rapid development of smart phones and other mobileterminal equipments in recent years, the users’ demand that trying to gain travel trafficinformation services through mobile terminals is growing rapidly. This paperresearches the traffic information service technology of mobile terminals based on ascientific research project. At the same time, this paper designs a traffic informationservice system based on mobile terminals. The main work of this paper is as follows:Firstly, this paper designs a traffic information service system based on mobileterminals and the technologies above studies the technology in view of the highway.According to reliable analysis of system needs, four functions are designed, includinglocation services, intelligent navigation, travel assistant and dynamic travel warning.The implementation process of every function is also introduced which can providesreference for similar research.Then, traffic location information technology is researched in this paper, mainlyfrom wireless location technology based on mobile terminals and map matching twoaspects. The positioning theory, process and algorithm of assisted GPS are introduced.Then the RSSI positioning technology is introduced. Finally the positioning mode isput forward based on the above two kinds of positioning technologies and thelocalization process is given out. Based on the positioning mode above, this paperdesigns a map matching algorithm and determines the corresponding matchingparameters.Finally, this paper analyzes the real-time navigation technology based on the mobile terminals and draws the conclusion: the key of good real-time navigation is toget the optimal path. Then, the basic idea and theory of traditional ant colonyalgorithm is expounded and the optimal path is obtained through improved ant colonyalgorithm which is verified at the same time.
