ABSTRACT:When heavy haul railway pass through the mountain area,to prevent unfavorable section,larges of curves and reverse curves are set. According to the setting of reverse curves of heavy haul railway in our country,a theoretical model was established. The reverse curves mechanical properties of heavy haul train loads is analyzed,the main research results are as follows:(1) The reverse curve route structure finite element system of heavy haul train loads was established on the basis of mutual connection between the rail, sleeper and ballast. The reliability of the proposed model is tested by the measured data.(2) The lateral deformation of structure tends to be stable when the number of train is6.The longitudinal deformation of structure tends to be stable when the number of train is8. The structure deformation caused by train loads can be ignored if the distance is more than5m from the lateral force position or25m from the longitudinal force position.(3) The most unfavorable position is the abrupt change of curvature when heavy haul train pass through the reverse curve route. If the straight line between curves is not set, gauge will suddenly expand at the intersection of different curves which have an adverse impact on traffic safety. If the straight line between curves is set, the length of line should be greater than1Om to meet the safety index.
