Research On Tourist-dedicated Train Operation Scheme Of Guiyang-Guangzhou High-speed Railway

With the rapid development of various transport modes, the competition in transportation market is increasingly fierce. The development space of rail industry receives an enormous impact that its market share decreases each year. Meanwhile, because of the construction and operation of passenger dedicated lines, railway passenger transport capacity obtains an unprecedented increase, while its technical level is also improved.That makes it possible for railway industry to develop new products and build new markets. Coincided with the deepening railway reform, Guiyang-Guangzhou High-speed Railway entered service in December,2014. It is even more necessary to study product design, train planning and marketing strategy systematically for Guiyang-Guangzhou High-speed Railway.Given the abundant tourism resources along the railway line, Guiyang-Guangzhou High-speed Railway has great potential to develop derivatives of tourism service. Therefore, this thesis aims to exploit a tourist-dedicated train for Guiyang-Guangzhou High-speed Railway and focuses on its train operation scheme. The main research work is as follows.(1) Establish a comprehensive and systematic method for tourist-dedicated train planning. Start from the relevant concepts, and analyse its influences, principles and process. Finally construct a train planning model for tourist-dedicated trains.(2) Explore on decision-making basis, including operation conditons, resource base and operational effects, to demonstrate the potential of developing tourist-dedicated trains for Guiyang-Guangzhou High-speed Railway.(3) Design a tourist-dedicated train operation scheme for Guiyang-Guangzhou High-speed Railway. Based on Guiyang-Guangzhou High-speed Railway’s network and passenger flow conditions, aiming at mutual benefits of railway transport enterprises and tourists, considering the contraints of tourism demands, construt a multi-objective programming model for tourist-dedicated train line planning and adopt ideal point method to solve such a model.(4) Conduct a survey on tourism demands to master the market requirement. Based on the tourist-dedicated train operation scheme, design the tourist-dedicated train products from several aspects, including train scheduling, outreach services, marketing strategies and operation arrangements. Thus form a set of scientific and sound tourist-dedicated train product developing strategies.
