The computer monitoring system displays and records the working contdition of railway signal equipments in real-time, provides an important support for signal equipments repair. Through learning and understanding the monitoring signal curve, the electrical maintenance personnels could judge and analysis system fault in time, it’s important to the computer monitoring system. However, under the condition of laboratory, considering both space and cost factors, it is unable to reproduce the whole signal equipments of a station and to provide a great source of signals for computer monitoring system, especially it can not get variety fault signals to play the role of learning computer monitoring system.This paper focuses on this and designs a research and application platform of fault signal based on computer monitoring, which can provide signal of switch machine, track circuit equipment under both normal and fault condition for the computer monitoring system, and also provide support for the learning of computer monitoring system. This platform has two parts, hardware part contains the fault signal generator and a power amplifier circuit, software part contains the fault signal generating system. This paper’s reaearch launched on both hardware and software design of this application platform.The core content of the application platform is the fault signal generator, it uses embedded chip STM32F103ZET6which has the function of DAC, PWM output, CAN communications as the core processor. The fault signal generator can output the switch action current signal of ZD6DC and S700K AC switch machine,25Hz phase sensitive track circuit signal, this paper completed circuit schematic design and PCB production of the fault signal generator. In order to make the signal can reach the requirements of computer monitoring system, this paper has designed the LM3886power amplifier circuit to amplify the output signal. On software design, this paper transplanted the μC/OS-Ⅱ real-time operating system and emWin graphics support system which are both based on embedded system, coordinating the signal output through μC/OS-Ⅱ’s multi task scheduling and designed a man-machine interface on a2.8inch LCD which can be touched to select the signal and display waveform by em Win. This paper also uses the C#language to design a PC software-the fault signal generating system which can control the fault signal generator through CAN bus.Both the fault signal generator and fault signal generating system can directly send signal data to the station machine through CAN bus.In the end, the output signal of the fault signal generator was tested with oscilloscope and computer monitoring system. The test results show that the fault signal generator can output various fault signals, it also can output signals under the control of the fault generating system, and both the fault signal generator and the fault signal generating system can send signal data to the station machine through CAN bus. The whole application platform achieved the disired goal.
