Reliability is an important index of evaluating air conditioner quality. The natural climatic environment and user habits are two major factors affecting product reliability. Regional cluster analysis according to these two factors, then comprehensive cluster analysis of these two clustering results, get the most consistent regional distribution on the natural climatic environment and user habits. It can help accurate analysis the reliability of air conditioner.In this paper, regard Chinese mainland capital cities and municipalities as cluster analysis objects, using Ward cluster method, considering the absolute, stability and dynamic development characteristics of panel data, create Absolute Quantity Euclidean Distance, Increment Speed Euclidean Distance and Variation Coefficient Euclidean Distance there index. Then using Ward cluster method obtain the weights of these there distance, and finally get the Comprehensive Variation Euclidean Distance.Research and get the key factors of natural climatic environmental influencing aspects of air conditioner—temperature, humidity and sunlight, and the key factors of user habits—temperature, humidity, sunshine and economic level, using the average propensity to consume as the evaluation index of economic level. Calculating the average propensity to consume index related to the fixed fee and consumption fee as well as the user’s level of disposable income, while consumption fee related to the period divide of the refrigeration and heating, how long daily running, per household ownership of air conditioner, refrigeration and heating electric power and electricity price. While calculating the time of daily running, according to human thermal comfort research and specifications of heating, ventilation and air conditioner, propose the start running guidelines of heating and cooling.According to sample data of 31 provincial capitals and municipalities in Chinese mainland from 2005 to 2012, using Ward method get the regional distribution category based on natural climatic environment and user habits. Finally, comprehens- ive cluster analysis of these two clustering results, and get 10 sorts most consistent regional distribution category based on two factors of air conditioner reliability— natural climatic environment and user habits.
