Wind load is the important design load in practical engineering, especially the artistic sructures and buildings, the common feature is they hold huge size and special structure, besides usually can not be used 《 load code for the design of building structures 》 to determine the shape coefficient and the surface wind pressure disrtibution, at the same time it is easily affacted by wind direction,landforms and surrounding environment, as so many limited conditions it’s not convinent to research through wind tunnel tests, now use the numerical simulation method to determine the wind pressure disrtibution and wind field characteristics of these complex structures has important practical and realistic significance.This paper uses Fluent software to analyze the wind field and wind pressure distribution of the large crane sculpture by the way of numerical simulation, the main work is as follows:(1)This paper introduces the related concept of numerical simulation and all kinds of turbulence models to simulate the wind field, and the turbulence model are analyzed and compared, summarizes the influencing factors and basic steps of the process of numerical simulation.(2)Use TTU model(the standard full size model of low-rise building) to study the factors which affats the numerical simulation,through the comparison of analysis results under different conditions, provide the basis for parameter settings of the crane sculpture numerical simulation.(3)Under the situation of 5 kinds of yaw angle of the crane sculpture numerical simulation, analyze and research the distribution characteristics of the wind field and wind pressure coefficient, And describes the complexity of abrupt change section on thes culpture, and the influence on the sculpture surface wind pressure coefficient by the change of wind angle.(4)Give the wind load shape coefficient maps for each section of crane sculpture under the situation of 5 kinds of yaw angle, and provides the reference for the calculation of wind load in practical engineering.
