The Investigation Of Vertical Greening In Nanchang And The Promotion Strategies

The city of Nanchang has a large population and a shortage of land for urban greening.The urban green space cannot meet the demand of citizens so far. Developing the urban vertical greening to improve the urban environment with the smallest land costs and the highest green quantity has become a trend. This article aims to research the vertical greening of Nanchang. However the vertical greening of Nanchang is still in its infancy and many aspects are not perfect, such as greening policy and green technology. There are a lot of room to improve. This paper has sorted out the relevant content of vertical greening.Through field investigations, come to know the current situation of vertical greening in Nanchang. Analyze the problems existing in the vertical greening of Nanchang, then puts forward the corresponding strategies.Hope to promote vertical greening of Nanchang.This article adopts these methods:literature reading method, method of comparative analysis, inductive analysis and practical investigation. Based on the survey, the main types of vertical greening are these : green walls, green roofs, green windows and balconies, green pergolas, green doors, green fences slope greening and so on. Main greening plants are: wisteria, confederate jasmine, ivy, Jasminum mesnyi,ficus pumila etc.There exists vertical greening in Nanchang, but it is still at an early stage, there are many problems. The common problems are:lacks of landscape and ecological benefits; single plant species, lacks of reasonable configuration; greening effect is not persistent. Analyzing its reasons, I come to include these aspects: the lack of policy guidance, weak greening consciousness and green technology, lacks of maintenance management, etc.Aiming at the existing problems and reasons of vertical greening in Nanchang combined with relevant theoretical knowledge, this paper puts forward some Suggestions and measures: to perfect legal policies and specifications; increase the propaganda, improve green consciousness; formulate long-term development goals;strengthen the scientific research, and improve the green technology; improve the mechanism of later period maintenance management, etc.
